Phiên dịch cabin

Phiên dịch cabin ( hay phiên dịch song song, phiên dịch đồng thời) là phương thức chuyển tải ý song song giữa người nói và người dịch được thực hiện trong phòng cách âm gọi là cabin ; khi người nói vừa bắt đầu nói thì người dịch ngồi trong cabin cách âm có trang bị hệ thống tai nghe và micro cũng sẽ bắt đầu dịch sau đó vài giây.

Phiên dịch cabin thường được áp dụng trong các hội nghị, hội thảo chuyên đề với sự góp mặt của các tổ chức quốc tế. Cách dịch này có thể nói là “hóc búa” nhất trong tất cả hình thức phiên dịch; nó đòi hỏi khả năng nghe, nói và xử lý thông tin cùng lúc của phiên dịch viên phải tốt.

Dịch cabin đòi hỏi tinh thần tập trung cao độ, không được phép xao nhãng dù chỉ một giây, vì thế trong cabin luôn luôn có ít nhất 2 phiên dịch viên để hỗ trợ lẫn nhau trong suốt quá trình phiên dịch.

Simulteneous interpretation is an activity of interpreting meaning of the speaker or lecturer and interpreter via a special sound-proof room called “cabin”. When the speaker starts his speech, then the interpreter sitting in the booth with headphone and micro also starts his interpreting job just some seconds later. This kind of interpretation is prevailling in conferences, agendas, or workshops on an international scale.

Simulteneous interpretation is the toughest ever since it requires a great deal of effort from interpreters who must be proficient in listening, speaking and also information analysis skill.

Simulteneous interpretation requires extreme concentration and interpreters shall not be ”goofing off” any single second. Therefore, there must be at least 2 interpreters in a booth to have mutual support.
